Privacy policy

Vespor (“Vespor”, “we”, “us”) is an academic productivity app for college students. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. It applies to vespor.app and the Vespor mobile apps.

• Account information: your name, email address, and (if you sign in with Google) your Google profile basics. Authentication is handled by our provider, Clerk.
• Content you create: subjects, notes, files you upload, tasks, attendance records, and anything you save to your library. This is yours — we store it so the app works.
• Usage and device data: pages viewed, features used, approximate region, browser and device type, and diagnostic logs. We use this to keep the product reliable and to improve it.
• Payment information: if you subscribe to Student Pro, payments are processed by our payment partners (Stripe and Razorpay). We do not store your full card details.

• To provide and operate the app — your notes, attendance, AI tools, and community library.
• To generate AI study tools (flashcards, quizzes, explainers) from content you choose to send to our AI provider.
• To process subscriptions, prevent abuse, and provide support.
• To understand how the product is used and make it better. We do not sell your personal data.

We use a small set of trusted processors to run Vespor: Clerk (authentication), Supabase (database and file storage), DeepSeek (AI generation), Stripe and Razorpay (payments), Resend (email), and PostHog and Sentry (product analytics and error monitoring). Each processes data only to provide their service to us.

When you use an AI feature, the specific content you generate from is sent to our AI provider to produce the result. We don’t use your private content to train third-party models.

Your data is stored on managed cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit (HTTPS) and access controls that scope every request to your own account. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect it, though no system can be perfectly secure.

You can access and edit most of your information directly in the app. You can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account and associated content by emailing hello@vespor.app.

Depending on where you live (including under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act), you may have additional rights over your personal data. We honour valid requests.

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your personal content within a reasonable period, except where we must retain limited records for legal, security, or billing reasons.

Vespor is built for college students. If you are below the age of digital consent in your country, please use Vespor only with the involvement of a parent or guardian. If you believe a minor has provided us personal data without appropriate consent, contact us and we will address it.

We may update this policy as the product evolves. We’ll change the “last updated” date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app or by email.
